BSPS Scotland Warmup Show 2023
Sunday 26 Feb 2023
This is a winter training show and is ideal for new & novice combinations. It will be judged on performance and not on the turnout of your ponies. Animals should be clean but winter woollies (hairy ponies) are allowed. Our shows are friendly, supportive and everyone is welcome
HATS
43. Correctly secured Skull Caps/Riding Hats Nos. PAS 015 2011, VG1, (BS) EN1384 2017, ASTM F1163 04a onwards, SNELL E2016, AS/NZS 3838 2006 onwards. MUST be worn by riders at all times when mounted. Hats should have a plain cover either Black, Navy Blue, Brown, Grey or Green. Velvet covers are encouraged. The B.S.P.S. encourages members to have their hats tagged through the B.S.P.S. scheme or via the
Pony Club Scheme. Hat Tagging in B.S.P.S. classes is compulsory. (We are accepting British Eventing, British Riding Club and Pony Club tags)
BODY PROTECTORS
50. Body Protectors MUST be worn when jumping in any WHP and WH classes Including practice ring at B.S.P.S. Affiliated Shows. (Including Tiny Tots, Cradle
and Nursery Stakes, WSP, LRWSP and Training Stakes). Riders must wear a body protector when working in (practice jumps) and the jumping phase in all B.S.P.S.
organised and affiliated events. A British Equestrian Trade Association (BETA) approved and appropriately labelled “Level 3 body protector” with the year 2009
(Purple) or 2018 (Blue and Black) shown on the label.
BETA recommends body protectors are replaced at least every three to five years, after which the impact absorption properties of the foam may have started to decline.All types of Air Jackets are not allowed.

BSPS Scotland & TSR Showing Clinic & Mock Show 2023

Instructor: Mr James Munro
This 2 day clinic is open to all comers, abilities and ages and is focusing on correct way of going and getting the best from your horse or pony. There will also be opportunity to practise in-hand and the trot up, identify opportunities and appropriate classes/competitions to aim for, appropriate tack and turnout of pony and rider and demystifying rules and regulations.
We especially want to encourage those who have never shown or been daunted by the prospect and cost of it.
Included within this clinic, participants have the opportunity to be assessed for:

BSPS Scotland Talent Spotting winner to receive a complimentary entry to the
BSPS (Scotland) Finale Show

You do not need to be a member of any society to award this training. Participants can book for either Day 1, Day 2 or both with groups arranged based on ability. We will try and accommodate specific requests if we can.
